Welcome to  dell'Arrone  website

My name is Matilde Capparoni, I inherited my passion for dogs from my father Ugo,
who began breeding in 1967, Pointers,English Setters end German Short Hired Pointers (Kurzhaar). I accompanied my father to shows end field trials as a young child and soon got my very own dog, a breton spaniel, Odette dell'
Arrone, which I regularly showed and run in trials.
there I had my very first placements and my passion grew even stronger.

For a short period I had the "Brecciara" Kennel name together with Mr. Antonellini, but later I became associated in my father' s Kennel,  now I am the sole holder and continue to breed dogs in memory of my father.
I breed  three breeds, Pointers, Irish red Setters and Italian Spinoni.
Pointers were the first breed that lived in the house with my family and I still breed an occasional litter for my personal satisfaction.

The Irish setter is a beautiful breed, since 1970 I began showing a dog belonging to my parent's friend. On day I fell for a daughter of his and she
was the foundation of my Kennel. My love for this breed continued to grow.
My aim is to produce dogs that are both beautiful and good workers, which is difficulty, but makes one aim high.

I am now the president of the Italian Irish Setter Club and international judge  practical working trials for the English pointing, breeds.international show judge for oll the setters.
The Italian Spinone is a breed that I have only taken up recently, I was taken with their gentle character and the beautiful "human" look in their eyes.
As a beginner I did not fall into breeders political games and bought in dogs and used at stud from personal choice.
I have had a great many wonderful satisfactions with them, but perhaps every breeder aspires to take a world title. But at the world show in Milan in 2000, my Italian Spinone swept the board taking five world title and  BOB.

I must close with a word of thanks to everyone who has given me encouragement and help to develop this overwhelming passion.
